M A Z E L T O V !

It’s been a few weeks since these two got married and so I felt it was time for more info about how they made their day so personal and unique.

Being an actor and producer, it was really key for them to ensure that their day was full of theatre, but also incredibly important that family and friends were at the heart of the day.

The ceremony took place in a CofE church in Emma’s family village. After the normal formalities, they took the opportunity to shape their vows in the most heartfelt way and then their guests broke rendition of The Beach Boys’ “God Only Knows” in 3 part harmony.

They then went back to Emma‘s parent’s house to celebrate Jacob’s Jewish heritage, with a blessing led by his brother. All the usual traditional Jewish elements such as the 7 Blessings and Breaking the Glass were celebrated to a backdrop of choruses of “Mazel Tov” throughout to celebrate their union.

The garden room was transformed into a French wine bar and Dad‘s shed/artist studio was made into proper old English Pub serving ales and scampi fries.

The wedding breakfast was held in beautiful marquee in the garden where they feasted on Mediterranean sharing platters followed by jelly for dessert.

The evening continued with dancing- the band provided by their friends & at the early hours ended up revealing a secret area of the garden to continue the party.

Planning such a DIY Wedding offered all the usual challenges and some! Our coordination service was perfect as it allowed them to flex their creativity and then hand over to the experts to manage the day allowing them to party hard with their family and friends.

V and H Part 2

After the waxing (yes, you heard that right, see previous post!) it was time for the English wedding ceremony.

H’s family home where the celebrations were to continue is fortunate enough to be situated neighbouring the village church, so they were able to have some pre-ceremony private time walking (Jane Austin style) across the lawn and through the churchyard.

After the ceremony, the guests promenaded through the churchyard to the garden gate where confetti was thrown, before holding the drinks reception on the lawn.

Bliss.

H & V Part 1

I’ve been adminning HARD today and stumbled across this gallery from back in 2022 from the lovely home-hosted wedding of V and H, and I thought I’d share the pre-wedding shots because they made me giggle.

As part of V’s culture, the sharing of tea and gifts formed the first part of the day. This was joyful and serene, a joining of families and traditions.

Then came the Bridesmaids. Putting the emotional tea ceremony aside, the waxing began.

Moustaches, chests, backs and other areas which I didn’t want to share in the ‘gram.

Every year we see a different demand in our services. In previous years, there has been a consistent flow of both Planning & Styling clients and those needing help with On the Day Coordination.

Certainly over the past 18 months we have seen more uptake of couples opting to do the lion’s share of the planning themselves and realising they need help with the final push and coordination.

With this trend seeming to continue in to 2026, we have also seen a surprising surge of couples from overseas needing our help. I’m not sure what the SEO is doing behind the scenes but I am so excited to hop on to consultations to find couples from the USA, Canada, Singapore and Australia finding out about us and getting us on board to manage their planning whilst they are overseas.

It’s been brilliant to continue working with couples who want the English wedding experience and exciting to be able to merge different cultures and traditions into their wedding experiences.

Our first New Yorkers, the gorgeous Michael and Sarah who got married at Hampton Court Castle in 2021, had the most incredible day and it was a dream to be able to help them with their Full Planning through the pandemic and from over the pond. No mean feat, but boy, did we create something special 🤩

“I am overjoyed to be joining the Luna team, ready for the 2025 wedding season! I have no doubt this is going to be my favourite season yet, working alongside the gorgeous Sally and helping our couples have the day of their dreams.

A few facts to get to know me:

- My background and Degree is in performing arts, but it was through a collection of performance and hospitality jobs that I realised events is the place for me. I still perform now and again when I have time - I can stand in as a singing waiter if you need me to!

- When I’m not working, you’ll find me outside somewhere - Mother Nature is my biggest joy 🌊 the beach is my favourite place in the world, and I’ll spend as much time as possible out on my Stand Up Paddleboard. Fingers crossed for a glorious summer this year!

- I’m a big softy - doesn’t matter how many weddings I work, I’ll always have a little tear during your wedding ceremony. I’m also a hugger, and will be on hand with a hug (or a glass of bubbles) whenever you need them on the big day!

I feel so lucky to be getting to work alongside Sally this year, and I’m so excited to learn from the best and put all of my skills to work. I can’t wait to meet you all, and help you have the best day ever - see you out there!”

I must admit this year I have been trying to be a little more mindful that I always think the period after Christmas and New Year is going to be a bit slower, but the reality is quite the opposite.

I’m spinning plates on every digit and wedminning to the max for our lovely couples saying I Do this year, but I do like to know that I’m going into the new year with the creative juices flowing, and one of the best ways to play and experiment with looks and influences is to do a couple of shoots. Spring is normally the time here at Luna HQ where we get flexing our creative muscles and we have a couple of exciting things in the mix.

I will NEVER get over this beauty we did a couple of years ago. I’ve been reminded of it again whilst doom scrolling after a morning of tending to the ever-growing collection of plants in my home and wanted to show you just a few from simply playing about on stairs. This is what I really love when collaboratively working with creatives. It’s all about just taking a breather and using the time to enjoy the freedom and the chance to be experimental.

Puja and Elliot managed to extend their wedding celebrations over a whole week with an English and Indian wedding respectively to pay homage to both their cultures and traditions.

Have a swoon over these highlights from their Indian wedding day - seriously one of the most heartfelt celebrations blending two families and loved ones into one joyous and emotional ceremony and party.

We worked with Puja and Elliot to design and style their day, and provided all the props and furniture for the week. It was a year-long process and we of course were there along the way with advice and expertise when they needed it. It was lovely to have been a part of the lead-up and get to know these two humans, and these images really demonstrate the bond they have with their families and each other.

Take a small gander at Sinead and Luke’s beautifully heartfelt and full of fun wedding.

There are so many things that I love about this gallery from @carysannphotography - the smiles, the hugs, the cool flower girls, the addition of Sinead’s love of leopard print and the bonkers family.

I also love the fact that this was a bloomin’ hot day and they dealt with the surprise showers fantastically (there will be a separate post on rain on your wedding day - hopefully with a bit of Alanis to boot).

You’ll see more from this wedding because it has so many brilliant touches brought about by Sinead and Luke themselves which made it such a joyful day for everyone.

How do I even start to plan my wedding??

The hardest bit about this is starting. I bet someone has told you that at least once in your life. I bet they were like a mini Buddha. Well, I’m now your mini-Buddha and I’m telling you, it’s true.

But, fear not, here’s a bit of hand-holding to get you on track and kick-start that planning journey.

My main advice is don’t panic. Take your time, find your vibe and then float along like a swan (whilst your feet are doing a dance in the water).

And, if you need someone to guide your swan-like paddle, don’t forget we offer all sorts of levels of help with planning, from the full shebang to our fabulous Dip-ins.

On what has been a miserable and damp day today, a little throwback from one of the hottest days this summer. The fabulous Sarah and Dave, our American/Brit duo who wanted to celebrate their union with some of the best things that the US and Britain deliver, smooshed in and baked like a lil’ pumpkin pie.

To all of you who were lucky enough, or will be lucky enough, to receive a sparkler under the tree this Christmas/New Year, from all of us here at Luna HQ CONGRATULATIONS!

Boxing Day is a special day for Mr G and I as it was this day 11 years ago that he invited all our family over and went down in one knee to make his (and obviously my ☺️) dreams come true.

After having to cook a Boxing Day dinner for all these family members (I said I wanted to murder him), he had arranged for our kids to line up and hold up a banner with the words “Sally will you marry Daddy”. Most of them didn’t have a clue what was going on, but looking back at the pic of it this morning, it was mega cute.

So, however it happens, congratulations from us all. I’m looking forward to hearing all the weird and wonderful ways that you said “I do” ♥️

If you’re looking to have an Aussie/UK smash of a wedding, on the beach AND partying like you’ve never partied before, then this may be the inspo you need.

We worked hard on this one and blimey, was it worth it! Choosing our On The Day Coordination Service, Prop Hire & Styling suited Annabel and Shane perfectly.

Working with these guys to organise their wedding whilst on the other side of the world could and with a funky time zone could have been tricky, but with Annabel’s über proactive brain (sorry Shane, it was mainly Annabel!) and having the luxury of a trusty WhatsApp chat, this was a wedding which had it all 🤩

Here are a few highlights:

We love doing these smaller events because it’s a chance to work with a handful of local suppliers to create intimate settings which we can fill with creative touches.

We also adore @weddings_at_patterns because of its quirky, seaside setting, perfect for design-led couples to make their own.

I don’t know about you, but I think this has got a touch of Christmas cool about it.
